Weaving Healing into Everyday Life

Book With Me

MY APPROACH

I work from a trauma-informed, client-centered lens. My style is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships. I draw from therapeutic approaches such as:

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

  • Somatic and relational therapy
    Mindfulness-based and strengths-focused work

WHAT TO EXPECT

Our first session will include time to explore what brings you here, clarify your hopes for therapy, and go over the consent form together. You're welcome to ask questions or take time to decide if this feels like a good fit — there’s no pressure. I will gently guide you through the healing process online, in the comfort of your own home.

MY COMMITMENTS TO YOU

  • I will hold your stories with care and confidentiality

  • I will honour your autonomy and adapt the pace of therapy to what feels right for you

  • I will work collaboratively with you — this is your healing journey, and you are the expert in your life

What I offer

IFS

IFS is a gentle, evidence-based approach that helps people explore and understand the different “parts” of themselves—such as the parts that protect, worry, or carry pain. By getting to know these parts with compassion, people often find more balance, clarity, and self-acceptance.

Eye Movement Desensitization

Eye Movement Desensitization (EMDR) is a structured therapy that uses eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation to help the brain process and release distressing memories. It is especially effective for trauma and PTSD but can also support healing from anxiety, grief, and other life challenges.

Emotional Freedom Techniques

EFT, often called “tapping,” combines gentle fingertip tapping on acupressure points with focused attention on emotions or thoughts. This simple yet effective method can reduce stress, calm the nervous system, and help release old patterns of worry, fear, or self-doubt.

 FAQs

  • I believe that therapy should be accessible, and I recognize that financial circumstances can vary. To help reduce barriers, I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on individual needs and availability.

My standard session rates are $150 for a 60-minute session; or $280 for a 120-minute extended session.

If you are experiencing financial hardship, you're welcome to request a sliding scale rate. You do not need to provide proof of income or justification — this is a trust-based system. I trust that clients will request what they need and update me if their financial situation changes.

Sliding scale spots are limited and may not always be available. If a spot is not open, I can place you on a waitlist or provide referrals to low-cost services in the community. If you’d like to discuss a sliding scale rate, please let me know by email or during our first session. We can explore what is sustainable for you together.

  • Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other. We’ll spend time exploring what brings you to counselling, what you’re hoping for, and what feels most important for you right now. I’ll also answer any questions you may have about privacy, confidentiality, and how therapy works.

There’s no pressure to commit right away—this time is about ensuring the process feels safe and like a good fit for you.

  • Yes, my practice is currently fully virtual, so you can access counselling from the comfort and privacy of your own space. I use a secure, encrypted video platform (OWL) that meets Canadian privacy standards for healthcare.

You’ll receive a unique link from the Owl Portal before each session via email, or can log into Owl directly. You can join using your phone, tablet, or computer.

Many clients find online therapy equally as effective as in-person work, with the added benefit of flexibility and comfort.

  • Finding the right therapist is an important part of your healing journey. The best way to know is to have an initial session and see how you feel. My approach is gentle, collaborative, and client-centered; I believe that healing happens in safe, trusting relationships.

If after a few sessions you decide it’s not the right fit, that’s okay, I’m happy to support you in finding another counsellor who better meets your needs. My goal is for you to get the care and connection that feel most supportive.
